Dear powder community,

please see below a letter from ACA President Alan Pinkerton, seeking 
nominations for the Etter Award.

Dear Colleague:

Every year the American Crystallographic Association makes the Margaret
C. Etter Early Career Award to recognize outstanding achievement and
exceptional potential in crystallographic research of a young scientist.
It consists of a $1000 monetary award and a plaque.  The winner will
present a lecture at the ACA Annual Meeting, and typically a half day
symposium will be organized around the topic of the lecture.

I am asking your assistance in identifying candidates for the 2008 award
which will be made at the Annual Meeting in Knoxville, TN, May 31 - June
5, 2008.  Nominees must have begun their first independent position
within the last six years.  Details of the award and nominating
procedure can be found at

The deadline for nominations is September 1, 2007.
