[sdpd] REIT:STX: Forged Emails supposedly from ccp14 with Viruses attached

Hi,

If anyone receives unsolicited Email (or an Email
with what looks like a relevant title) from the CCP14
or from l.m.d.cranswick...@dl.ac.uk with an .EXE or other attachment - 
there is a very good chance this is a forged E-mail - thus 
can you please show due caution and assume the exe or attachement
is most likely a virus.  Email from some British Crystallgraphic 
Association (BCA) Email addresses see to also have been
forged.  
If you look at the E-mail headers, it should show
you where the Email really originates from.

The CCP14 uses UNIX and non-Microsoft Windows based E-mail 
software and is not affected by the various mailbox hijacking 
viruses.  However, Email laden mail seem to now be using other 
people's Email addresses and sending out fake Emails.

As the titles of some of the Emails seem to have relevant
subject headers, it could be that the people generating
this Emails are filtering content and Email addresses from
webpages or newsgroup posting and correlating titles and
distribution lists(?).  Not sure? - and if anyone has some
web addresses with information on the above style of virus
laden Emails - I would be happy to receive them.
