Just a quick word that the following crystallographic software
is now available, upon registration at the SirWare site at:
http://www.ba.cnr.it/IRMEC/SirWare.html
"The programs will be free of charge for non-profit institutions".
Depending on the package and the version, software is
for DOS, Windows 95/NT, UNIX and VMS.
Sir97 - Direct Methods for Single Crystal
Structure Refinement
Suitable for Electron Diffraction
Graphical Interface
EXPO - "From the Powder Pattern to the Crystal Structure"
Full pattern decomposition for powder diffraction
Uses supplementary amount of information which become
available during the phasing process
SIRPOW92 - (Semi-Invariants Representation applied to powder
data)
EXPO can pass data into Sirpow92 which is
direct methods optimised for powder diffraction.
Other software includes versions of Sir92 and Extra.
