New version (1.7) of a shareware program AXES (An X-ray powder
diffractionEvaluation System) is ready for distribution from:
ftp.physic.ut.ee /pub/pc/axes
AXES 1.7B can be distributed free of charge for academic users. See the
file READ-REG.WP5 (you find it in AXES packet) about details of registration
and distribution.
The main task of AXES is to facilitate preparation of parameter input
files (*.PCR) for Rietveld program FULLPROF. AXES can also perform different
pattern data processing steps starting from background stripping and ending
with peak profile analysis using Williamson-Hall plot. Basic commands
and options of AXES can be seen from the file READ-OPT.ASC at
ftp.physic.ut.ee:/pub/pc/axes/.
New in version 1.7B:
# AXES 1.7B is compatible with FULLPROF 3.1c;
# Several new dialogues for FULLPROF parameters have been included;
# Internal text editor of AXES facilitates preparation of complicated
*.PCR files;
# most of parameters in *.PCR editor have online help.
