"IFS support is primarily financial and in the form of a research grant in
the amount of up to USD 12,000, which may be renewed twice. Each
grant is for one research period, normally not less than one year nor
more than three years and is intended for the purchase of the basic
tools needed to conduct a research project: equipment, expendable
supplies, and literature. It cannot be used for education, travel, or the
applicant's salary."

Could not be used for a distance education Web-based course,
in principle.
