Hello everyone
Just a short message to make myself known to you subscribers of the
list.
I'm studying for master in geology at the department of mineralogy,
University of copenhagen, under the supervision of prof. Dr. Emil
Makovicky. Presently I'm working on my thesis concerning the
crystallochemical influence of certain mineralizers on alite
(substituted tricalcum silicate) in portland cement clinker.
The study involves microprobe analysis of clinker phases and xray
powder diffraction. I hope to extract structural data from XRD by
rietveld refinement and will be grateful to hear from anyone who has
experience with rietveld refinement on OPC clinker phases. I also
welcome any suggestions on which software to choose for my type of
material, that is, multiphase assemblages.
