The Rietveld code; General Structure Analysis System (GSAS), Larson
and Von Dreele, allows for multiple directions to be used in an analysis
of preferred orientation using the March-Dollase function. I have used this
technique with great success to analyze the microstructure of sintered
ceramics. A paper is to appear in Vol 37 of Advances in X-ray Analysis which
I believe should be out any time now. The program is available through an
