A postdoctoral position is immediately available to study structure and function of proteins or protein complexes related to bacterial or viral infection and host response (http://www.wadsworth.org/resnres/bios/lihongmin.htm). The position is funded for 1 year through a research grant from the NIH, and may be extended dependent upon the availability of funding and satisfactory performance. The successful candidate should have a recent Ph.D. degree with highly motivation and interest in structure biology. Experiences in molecular biology and protein expression using insect cells (baculovirus, drosophila) will be advantaged. The position is at the Wadsworth Center, one of the nation's 'Best Places to Work in Academia' (http://www.wadsworth.org). The Capitol city of Albany offers a reasonable cost-of-living and easy access to the beautiful Adirondacks, Catskills, and Berkshire Mountains.
